Ling Design is the home of Talking Pictures, The Curious Inksmith and sister brand Penny Kennedy gift packaging.

The Great British Card Company (GBCC) is one of the UK's largest independent card publishers supplying customers including large UK supermarkets, high street specialists, garden centres and post offices both in the UK and via distributors overseas. Supplying product categories such as giftwrap, gift packaging and gift stationery sourced mainly from China.

The Gifted Stationery Company, founded in 2007, is well known for its stationery and gift portfolios, together with an extensive Calendar and diary collection. The office is based in the world heritage City of Bath.

Summary

The Group IT Manager will lead the strategic direction, development, and management of IT systems across a multi-site manufacturing and FMCG environment. This role ensures that technology enables operational excellence, supports supply chain agility, drives digital transformation, and maintains robust cybersecurity and compliance standards across the group.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Define and implement a group-wide ICT strategy aligned with manufacturing and FMCG business goals. Advise executive leadership on emerging technologies relevant to design, production, logistics, and consumer engagement.

ICT Governance & Compliance

Establish ICT policies and standards with a focus on regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, industry-specific standards). Oversee risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
Infrastructure & Operations

Ensure high availability and performance of all fixed and mobile ICT infrastructure across production sites, warehouses, offices, design studios and remote workers. Oversee ERP, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), CRM and MAC platforms. Drive cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and system integration across the group. Responsible for ensuring all licensing is fit for purpose/relevant (not over engineered) and up to date across the group.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead and develop a geographically dispersed ICT team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Supplier & Budget Management

Manage ICT budgets and procurement processes. Negotiate and manage all ICT vendor contracts, ensuring excellent value for money and service quality.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with operations, supply chain, sales, and marketing teams to deliver ICT solutions that enhance productivity and customer experience. Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.
