The Hotel Communication Network (HCN) is a global hospitality technology group providing in-room tablets, guest engagement platforms, digital advertising and communication solutions to leading hotel brands worldwide.
The HCN Group operates across North America, Europe and Latin America. The Group supports hotels in over 16 countries and operates a complex, multi-entity, multi-currency international structure.
This role sits within the Group Finance function and supports financial reporting, control and analysis across all HCN entities.
The role
We are seeking a Group Management Accountant to play a key role within Group Finance, taking ownership of core month-end processes, management reporting, and balance sheet control across the HCN group.
Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role is critical in ensuring timely, accurate group-wide financial information, supporting decision-making at senior level, and strengthening financial governance as the Group continues to scale.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable operating in detail, navigating complexity, and contributing to the development of a robust, scalable group finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
Group Management Accounting
Ownership of month-end close across group entities
Monthly consolidated management accounting to tight reporting deadlines
Posting and review of month-end journals
Balance sheet reconciliations and ownership of assigned balance sheet areas
Group Financial Control
Ensure accuracy and consistency of accounting across group entities
Own intercompany accounting and reconciliations
Oversight of credit control and collections, escalating issues as required
Prepare revenue recognition schedules and journals
Support group audit processes and auditor queries
Take the lead on improving controls, documentation and processes, in collaboration with the VP of Finance
Commercial & Stakeholder Support
Work with operational teams to ensure accurate financial inputs
Support cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis
Provide financial insight through accurate and timely reporting
Support ad-hoc group finance projects as required
Essential skills and experience:
This position will require a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
ACA / ACCA / CIMA newly qualified
Solid technical accounting knowledge and confidence taking ownership of tasks
Experience of month-end processes end to end
Demonstrable experience of systems and process improvement
Excellent Excel skills
The ability to operate in the detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
Confident communicator, comfortable working across teams
Proactive, organised and resilient in a fast-paced environment
Desirable skills and experience:
Multi-entity group consolidated accounting
Multi-currency accounting
Previous exposure to BI tools
SaaS / deferred revenue experience
