PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Stock Assistant will primarily work for the Group Gift Managers. General duties include unloading incoming gift department stock including home furnishings, seasonal decor, candles and general giftware , checking for accuracy against delivery notes and splitting stock to be sent to each of our centres. This role is based in the back of house at our Donaghadee centre. Working in a stock room environment with occasional duties on the shop floor to assist the group team in seasonal retail set ups. There may also be opportunities to travel to other centres with the group team to assist in stock takes or seasonal retail changes.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Unloading incoming gift stock boxes. Keeping the store organised.

? Operating our EPOS system to accept stock and complete paperwork

? Splitting stock for each centre and theming seasonal stock.

? Help price stock when needed

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

1.

Previous experience of working with stock in a retail or store environment.

2.

Demonstrate excellent organisational skills

3.

Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift boxes.

4.

Must possess initiative to work on your own.

5.

Can demonstrate great communication skills.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

1.

Possess good I.T. skills

2.

Previous experience using an EPOS system.
