To lead and assure food safety, technical standards/regulations, and daily quality control across our Business Group.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take overall responsibility for the company's BRC accreditation and leading the BRC committee.
Owning, developing and maintaining our HACCP processes, internal audit, specifications, and complaints systems.
Accountable for delivering the site's technical metrics
Key point of contact for Management of change and projects on site for technical sign off.
Maintain supplier risk assessments and review annually (Collect and collate supplier documents i.e., T&Cs, SAQs, etc. & ensure supplier certificates (BRC, Salsa, IFS, ISO) are kept up to date)
Request, create, check & update FIR from suppliers
Monthly Site inspections/ GMP - type up and ensure all actions are completed by deadlines
Request and collate commodity codes & measuring codes
Log, complete and send non-conformance reports regarding supplier complaints as required
Request and store product specifications
Update the Training matrix & file Food Safety certificates
Maintaining online portals, traceability tests, calibration, inspections and other tasks required to meet audit standards.
Managing pest control & field biology visits and completion of actions.
Ensuring packaging (inc waste) data is collated, updated and submitted in a timely manner.
Internal Audits - Creating sheets & schedule - carrying out my own internal audits, chase auditors/actions
Creating/ amending paperwork across sites
Complete GAP analysis of customer COP/BRC
Complete NCN actions from external/internal audits
Completing customer requests/forms
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Food Safety Certification - Level 3 min
HACCAP Certification - Level 3
Strong in depth understanding of QMS systems.
Confident in working with customers and external auditors.
Meticulous attention to detail, especially with specs, packaging, and labelling.
Practical, solutions-focused, and comfortable being out on the factory floor.
Influencing skills with the ability to coach and mentor all levels, including customers
A leader and communicator who is comfortable taking ownership and using their initiative.
Several years of hands-on experience within food manufacturing - desirable
