Job Summary:



As the PFG Group Transport Manager, you will hold ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction, performance, and compliance of the entire transport operation. You are the strategic leader who will harmonise our fleets, drive efficiency, and ensure our transport function is a powerful, competitive advantage for the entire group. You will be the key architect in building a world-class, seamless transport network.

Strategic Leadership & Performance:



You will take full

for the Group Transport P&L, developing and executing a strategic plan that delivers against financial targets, drives cost efficiency, and supports ambitious growth objectives, you will be a strong negotiator in contract discussions with suppliers. You will champion

by implementing best practices and a continuous improvement culture across all transport operations, setting and monitoring rigorous KPIs for on-time delivery, vehicle utilisation, fuel efficiency, and cost per mile. You will demonstrate

by leading, mentoring, and developing the Transport Management teams within the business, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

Compliance & Safety:



You will model an

Ethical Approach

by ensuring 100% compliance across the group for all O-Licence obligations, driver hours (WTD & EU Drivers Hours), tachograph regulations, and health & safety legislation, protecting our reputation and our people. You will be the designated

Responsibility

holder for the group's O-Licences, serving as the ultimate point of contact for the Traffic Commissioner and any regulatory bodies.

Departmental Efficiency, Growth and Evolvement.



You strategically plan the lifespan of the fleet, creating a long-term plan of profit protection of each vehicle through planning of new vehicles being added to the fleet and the exiting of existing vehicles. Using the data available you will maximise the profitability of each route within the business, identifying opportunities to maximise service and performance. You will be a strong negotiator who will lead a team to manage insurance claims and validity of such claims. You will advise the board of new initiatives within the Transport sector that enables the business to continue to grow and be efficient. You will be forward thinking to Identify opportunities for growth and expansion, utilizing the current fleet to generate an increase in revenue.

Qualifications & Experience



CPC Qualified

Experience in utilizing FleetCheck software

Previously nominated Transport Manager for a large, multi-vehicle operation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 42,000.00-45,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
