About the role

As the Group Treasury Manager you will be responsible for all the core areas of Treasury. You will be required to maintain stewardship for financial assets and debt including overall leadership of the cash management, debt management and investment management functions, including maintaining an efficient running of the Group\'s treasury requirements, supporting a strong control environment, and enabling clean audit reports.

Salary: \xc2\xa365,000 - \xc2\xa375,000 + bonus
Location: South Manchester / Hybrid (3 days in the office)

Main Duties

• Manages treasury function, including meeting short and long-term funding needs
• Maintains and manages relationship with 3rd party Trusts, to ensure the efficient and timely release of cash to the business
• Manages and negotiates banking and investment banking relationships
• Develops and implements cash management operational strategies
• Oversees and implements hedging strategies
• Oversees interest rate risk management
• Oversees and report on cash flow forecasting
• Manages investment of excess funds
• Weekly net debt reporting to the Exec Board
• Reviews monthly interest journal entries and accruals
• Oversees preparation and reporting of loan covenant compliance
• Ensures the maintenance of corporate liquidity and financial stability. Develops and manages strategies, operations, policies and budgets relating to treasury activities
• Actively seek out improvement opportunities to improve the overall governance framework of the Treasury function

Person Specification

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CTA qualified Accountant
• 3+ years\' experience gained in a similar environment
• Proven experience of taking ownership and responsibility
• Proven experience of working in a fast-paced, changing, environment excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Active participation in systems improvement/implementation programmes
• Well organised, able to prioritise effectively and work to deadlines.
• Views innovation as a priority and can show creative thinking when solving problems, wanting to resolve these as quickly as possible.
• Creates a climate where colleagues are motivated to do their best.
• You will have the ability to think digitally as we continue to evolve as a digital first business, and that means we need you to have the right knowledge, skills and appetite to effectively use digital systems to support delivery of an efficient, robust finance environment.
