We're looking for a dynamic and engaging Used Vehicle Sales Manager to take full ownership of this area, driving growth and building a best-in-class used vehicle proposition for our customers.
Role Summary
As Used Vehicle Sales Manager, you will own the end-to-end sales process for all used vehicles within the business. From prospecting and contacting leads, to managing stock, appraising vehicles, and driving online visibility, you'll play a key role in maximising sales opportunities. You will be confident both behind the scenes (managing systems, stock, and digital platforms) and in front of customers--whether face-to-face, on the phone, or online.
This role is based at our Horsham, West Sussex site, where you'll also support in-person customer enquiries, assist with vehicle demonstrations, and work closely with the wider sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of the end-to-end used vehicle sales process, from prospecting to closing deals.
Actively contact and convert leads generated via the database, website, and marketing campaigns.
Manage all aspects of used vehicle stock, including appraisals, valuations, and underwriting.
Oversee the used vehicle section of the company website, ensuring stock is accurately represented and attractively presented.
Create and share engaging social media content to promote vehicles, highlight stock, and build EVM's digital presence.
Confidently appear on video or other digital content (preferred but not essential).
Engage with customers on-site, handling enquiries, building relationships, and supporting a smooth buying experience.
Assist colleagues with vehicle demonstrations and customer visits where required.
Work collaboratively with the sales and aftersales teams to ensure seamless handovers and outstanding customer satisfaction.
Keep accurate records of all sales activity within the CRM (Odoo) system.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, energetic, and digitally savvy salesperson with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for delivering results. You will bring:
Proven experience in used vehicle sales or a similar commercial sales role. Ideally within the bus, coach, van or truck sector.
Strong understanding of stock management, valuations, and appraisals.
Confidence using digital tools, social media platforms, and CRM systems (Odoo experience a plus).
A creative mindset and willingness to generate and share engaging online content.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and online.
The ability to work independently, while also contributing to a collaborative, team-focused environment.
A dynamic and enthusiastic approach to customer engagement.
Full UK driving licence (D1 preferred) and the ability to be based at our Horsham, West Sussex site. 5 days a week with potential weekend work as required.
