Birmingham City University is excited to offer an opportunity to join our Accommodation team. You will play a key role in supporting the team and act as a point of contact for customer relationship issues.



Accommodation Services is committed to assisting students in their transition from home to university life. This role will suit someone with administrative and customer service experience and who is looking to make a positive difference to a student's experience at Birmingham City University.



In this role, you will support a wide range of administrative and office activities as well engage with students, contractors and visitors. The role is site based (non-agile) standard core hours.




Key Responsibilities





Maintain efficient administrative systems, both manual and electronic, to support team activities, including updating the Accommodation software



Assist with front facing, telephone and email enquiries, responding in a professional and timely manner



Raise accommodation and conference fee invoices using the university's ERP system, manage the collection of payments including arrears chasing and holding debt clinics



Raise requisitions for purchase orders and process invoices from suppliers using the ERP system



Work outside of core hours to support University and operational requirements throughout the year




Essential Requirements




Proven experience in office and customer facing environments Good organisational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Manage confidential data Ability and aptitude to learn new skills quickly Flexible approach

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with the ability to work in an organised and efficient manner, have attention to detail, excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and are flexible and co-operative.
