Job Description



The Business Development Executive will primarily focus on providing pro-active support to the Director and members of the Business Development ('BD') Team. They will support the team with client acquisition, supporting the growth aspirations of the Team, and management of business intermediary platform, including day-to-day tasks, and compliance reviews.



The role will involve the close collaboration with key business partners and stakeholders including client facing banking teams, marketing, risk functions, back-office service departments, operations and IT.


The role will be required to represent the team at internal partner and prospect / partner meetings, acting as Brand Ambassador for the business, empowering collaboration and a growth mindset.



Where applicable, to place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers; and to comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules.





Key Responsibilities:




Supporting the Growth Director, manage the business introducers and wider team in growing and developing new to bank opportunities across both Commercial and Private Banking, supporting the BD team to achieve their targets. Identify new sales opportunities, develop sales pitches and analysing target clients Alongside BD managers and Directors, attending prospect / partner meetings to establish strong working relationships. Manage business introducers - including onboarding, and ongoing due diligence.
Take ownership and support the BD Team

General Administration





Preparing business introducer forms. Responsible for keeping records updated. Instigating and maintaining business introducer files including SLAs.




Compliance





Complete compliance regulatory exams (as required), adhering to both legal and regulatory requirements.
Ensure money laundering/Know Your Customer procedures are implemented correctly and accurately.

Risk:





Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.


Key Interfaces:




BD Team Maintain excellent relationships with Private & Commercial Banking, ALIM, Operations, Treasury and Compliance Partners, prospects and clients Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:




Experience in Client Facing Roles Commercial banking finance experience and knowledge of the private banking industry would be beneficial. Ability to provide a very high level of client /partner service and at all times keeping the client / partner at the heart of everything we do. Detailed and demonstrable appropriate technical knowledge around all areas of account opening and liquidity management. Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements covering money laundering and criminal activity. Multi-tasking capability. Ability to develop a network both internally and externally to mutually benefit the team and the Bank. Ability to work under pressure, deal with a heavy workload and deliver against stretching deadlines. A good understanding of Banking Systems and be IT literate, and a high understanding of Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM system (preferable).
