Growth Manager

Birmingham, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

The Big Idea: Help Brands Get Chosen. More Often.

At WAA Chosen, we believe brands win when they become the obvious choice. Creativity only counts when it drives commercial impact -- and that's the heartbeat of everything we do. From brand to digital, PR to promotions, we create work with purpose and punch.

As an employee-owned agency, everyone here has skin in the game. Ideas get heard. Voices matter. Ambition doesn't hit a ceiling. And now, we're looking for a Growth Manager who can help us take that ambition into the market and bring new brands into the fold.

This is more than a sales role. It's about spotting opportunity, opening doors, and helping prospects realise they've just found their new favourite agency.

What You'll Do

You'll sit at the sharp end of the agency -- the point where opportunity meets action.

You'll immerse yourself in Automotive, Trade & Construction, and Leisure & Lifestyle, finding the clients who need what we do and convincing them why WAA Chosen is the partner they've been waiting for.

Around 60% of your time will be spent finding, firing up, and converting leads.

Another 30% supporting our marketing engine -- helping amplify everything that makes us stand out.

And the final 10% shaping stronger proposals, pitches, and meetings with our hubs.

You'll build a pipeline that's full and high quality, craft outreach that cuts through, and make sure our growth efforts are as sharp as our creative work.

What You'll Be Doing

Identifying and targeting new business opportunities across our priority sectors

Developing and executing sales strategies that actually convert

Owning the early-stage sales cycle, from first outreach to securing the meeting

Building a pipeline that's smart, strong, and never hopeful for the sake of hopeful

Helping internal teams shape proposals and pitches that land

Delivering the marketing plan and supporting monthly content across social, web, and comms

Representing WAA Chosen at events, networking sessions, and industry gatherings

Tracking performance and offering insight that sharpens our growth approach

What You Bring

You've already proven yourself in business development or sales, ideally in an agency or marketing environment. You know how to start conversations, spark interest, and turn a cold prospect into a warm opportunity.

You're confident on the phone (without sounding like a call script), commercially savvy, and comfortable navigating the realities of agency life. You can charm at every level, spot opportunity quickly, and translate strategy into action.

Above all, you're results-focused -- someone who works at pace, stays resilient, and knows how to get people excited about what we can do.

Why You'll Love It Here

Because here, you don't just chase growth -- you own your part in it.

As an employee-owned agency, when we win, you win. You'll get all the right benefits too: private healthcare, generous holidays, matched pension, EV schemes, wellbeing support, and a learning environment built to help you level up.

We're a Gold Standard Investor in People and Platinum IPA CPD agency, which means you'll keep developing, keep progressing, and keep doing work you're genuinely proud of.

In short: this is a role for someone who loves making connections, sparking opportunities, and playing a key part in the growth of an ambitious, creatively driven agency.

If you're hungry to drive growth and ready to help brands get chosen more often, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now. Help us keep WAA Chosen, well... chosen.
