DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION





Channel 4 Streaming is Channel 4's video-on-demand proposition, home to original and exclusive shows, box sets of iconic series, as well as live and catch up TV from C4's broadcast channels.



Available as an app on over 20 different platforms including mobiles, tablets, PCs, TVs and games consoles, as well as being syndicated to the likes of Sky and Virgin, Channel 4 Streaming reaches over 6 million monthly viewers and has more than half of all 16-34s in the UK as registered users.



The Streaming Product & Growth department is responsible for creating the best possible user experience that is seamless and engaging, as well as overseeing the growth of Streaming across the business.



ROLE PURPOSE





The Growth Team is tasked with driving customer activation, retention and revenue through the streaming funnel. Our aim is to get our streaming viewer to do more with Channel 4. This role is focused on driving Channel 4+ growth, our premium paid tier which offers viewers the chance to watch ad-free and get early access to shows. Channel 4+ is a strategic priority and called out as a key part of our future streaming strategy. This role will specifically focus on driving the retention of our C4+ member base.



KEY RESPONSIBILTIES


Build a clear understanding of the C4+ member base, working with our Insight teams to understand churn behaviour and life-time value, with a clear point of view on what impacts retention rates for C4+. Understand the drivers of churn and develop tactical plans, including promotional offers to try to reduce churn rates, tailoring the plans for different audience groups. Work closely with the CRM team to outline plans for CRM activity that will drive improved retention rates. This will include onboarding, in life, saver and winback communications. Create a pipeline of experiments to ensure we're continuing to learn and test new ideas that support C4+ retention. Coordinate the delivery of retention activity from a cross-functional team of channel experts, regularly reviewing results to understand effectiveness and optimise the activity accordingly. Work with our Subscription Management provider to understand involuntary churn issues caused by payment failures and implement recommendations within retention journeys. Keep abreast of our content schedule, identifying tactical opportunities for C4+ member retention.



ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS


Strong analytical skills, able to compile performance results and interpret data into actionable insights and activity. Proven track record in customer retention space with good understanding of churn, LTV and ARPU metrics. Previous CRM experience, including hands on experience of using CRM tools to build email and push campaigns, managing customer lifecycle and an understanding of the deployment QA process. Experience of Braze, Customer Engagement Platform highly advantageous. Good understanding of digital marketing and media channels, including experience of working with technical teams to deliver digital experiences/products. Digital subscription business experience is highly desirable, with track record of managing retention for a subscription service. Has previously developed onboarding strategies to support new customers and early life customers. Has run multivariant testing, can plan test hypotheses and interpret results. Has worked in creative industries, able to think creatively as well as analytically. A strong knowledge of data protection and permission-based marketing. Is obsessive about data and using it to provide compelling evidence. Consistently displays excellent communications skills. Is good at presenting information in a concise and engaging fashion. Proven experience of developing relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. Naturally curious and enjoys exploring new ideas and possibilities. Likes getting stuck into a problem and coming up with solutions. Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage a diverse workload. Is passionate about the C4 remit and content.



Basic salary per annum starting from



51,844.00
