THE ROLE





The Guest Relations Manager ensures an exceptional guest journey experience every guest enjoys an exceptional and memorable experience rooted in both Japanese omotenashi.


Key Responsibilities



Welcome and engage guests from diverse backgrounds, acting as the approachable face of the restaurant. Build authentic relationships with the local crowd, hotel regulars, London's creative crowd and local businesses, fostering repeat custom and brand loyalty. Ensure guest satisfaction, handle real-time feedback, resolve issues swiftly and empathetically. Curate and promote special events, collaborations, and private bookings that celebrate both Japanese culture and Shoreditch's dynamic social calendar, working closely with PR, marketing and the GM. Manage bookings with expertise in digital platforms and be point of contact for any VIP guest or booking. Collate and analyse guest feedback and online reviews, providing actionable insights to improve relevance and standout within the competitive local restaurant scene. Stay informed about trends, events, and local happenings, acting as a cultural connector able to recommend the area's best attractions to guests.

About You




In-depth knowledge of Shoreditch and East London culture, events, clientele, and expectations is essential. Strong network and relations in the fashion, music or cultural industry preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to manage diverse guest profiles. Confidence with booking and CRM software, digital platforms, and online review management. Fluent in English. * Must be eligible to work in the UK.
