The Weston Manor Hotel is seeking a friendly, proactive, and service-oriented
Guest Service Assistant
to join our Food & Beverage (F&B) team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests by providing warm, attentive, and efficient service. From welcoming guests to ensuring their satisfaction throughout their time in our dining and lounge areas, you will embody the hotel's commitment to exceptional hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Interaction
Warmly welcome guests to our F&B outlets, including the restaurant, lounge, and bar.
Escort guests to tables, present menus, and provide information on specials or promotions.
Respond promptly to guest inquiries, addressing requests with professionalism and a focus on guest satisfaction.
Service Excellence
Serve food and beverages to guests with attention to detail, ensuring that presentation meets the hotel's standards.
Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance, making each guest feel comfortable and valued.
Handle guest complaints or issues with patience, finding prompt and effective resolutions and escalating to a supervisor if necessary.
Operations Support
Assist in preparing the dining and service areas, setting up tables, and ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
Process guest orders efficiently, using the point-of-sale system as needed and following proper cash handling procedures.
Ensure that the F&B area meets Weston Manor's standards for safety, cleanliness, and presentation at all times.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of orders.
Support colleagues during busy times and take on additional tasks as required, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience
: Previous experience in food and beverage service, guest relations, or a similar hospitality role is preferred.
Customer Service
: A passion for hospitality with strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage guests warmly.
Attention to Detail
: Able to maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and organization in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player
: Cooperative and supportive, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic setting.
Adaptability
: Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing demands, and respond effectively under pressure.
