Job Introduction

We are looking to appoint an energetic and innovative Guidance Manager to take on the day-today leadership of our pupil support unit, 'The Hub'. Our Guidance Managers are central to the progress of our pupils and the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting pupils' progress and wellbeing.
The aim of the Hub is to re-engage a small group of pupils in their education, recognising that not every pupil is the same and that some may require alternative ways to access their learning. Our pupils see the Hub as a place of safety, where they can build relationships with each other and with trusted adults. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Hub pupils through their journey at Toynbee, including supervising learning sessions, supporting pupils with all aspects of their school life and working closely with parents, teachers, the SENCO and the Senior Leadership Team to offer all our Hub pupils the platform for success in their future education and livelihood.
The successful candidate will:Be committed to supporting all pupils to achieve their "Personal Best" Lead by example Have excellent interpersonal skills Be forward thinking, resilient and able to work under pressure. Have proven literacy and numeracy skills. (Equivalent to at least a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English)

Whilst previous secondary school experience is not necessarily essential, a passion for supporting pupils to achieve their potential is crucial.
