, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating guillotine machinery to cut and prepare metal sheets for skip manufacturing. You will ensure precision cutting to meet production requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate
guillotine machines
and other cutting equipment to cut metal sheets to specified dimensions.
Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and measurements to ensure accurate cuts.
Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality standards are met.
Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery (e.g., blade sharpness, lubrication).
Follow health and safety regulations, including wearing PPE and maintaining a clean workspace.
Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading metal sheets as needed.
Report any machine faults or defects to the supervisor immediately.
Work as part of a production team to meet daily manufacturing targets.
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience operating
guillotine machines, press brakes, or metal cutting equipment
(preferred but not essential--training provided).
Ability to read basic engineering drawings or measurements (helpful but not mandatory).
Physically fit (role involves lifting and handling metal sheets).
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Awareness of workshop health & safety practices.
