Role: Gym / Leisure Assistant

Venue: Aylsham Sports Hub

Hourly rate: from 12.60 per hour

Sunday shift: 7.45am-18.00pm

At Aylsham Sports Hub, we are excited to announce the opening of our new gym facility this summer. This will include a 40-station gym and spin studio. We are dedicated to helping our members reach their health and fitness goals by offering great facilities, including a swimming pool and classes, with a welcoming community environment and staff team.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated gym and leisure assistant to join our team at the very start of our new facility. This role will be based within the new gym and reception area. They require excellent customer service & communication skills, with a true desire to support our users on their health and fitness journey.

As a gym / leisure assistant, you will play a key role in providing a high level of customer service while assisting members with the use of the gym equipment. You will be responsible for leading small group gym sessions, (including youth only gym sessions) guiding new members during inductions, dealing with membership enquiries, reception duties, and ensuring the gym and other facilities are always clean, presentable and well-maintained.

The successful candidate must hold a minimum level 2 gym instructor qualification. It would be beneficial to also hold a First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate, however not essential.

Previous experience in the industry and/or in customer services would be advantageous.

Good communication skills are an essential part of the role.

Aylsham Sports Hub already has a refurbished swimming pool offering public membership, family swim sessions and a swim school. We have a wide range of exercise classes, badminton, tennis are offered in our spacious sports hall. We also have our full size 3G multi-sport floodlit pitch. The opening of our gym is the next stage in our development in providing excellent sporting facilities.
