Job Description

We are looking for passionate individual to join our Gymnastics Club coaching team.

The Gymnastics Coach will support and assist the lead coach in delivering safe, engaging, and progressive gymnastics training. This role involves working with students to help them build skills, confidence, and a love for the sport, while maintaining a positive and encouraging training environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in delivering gymnastics training sessions for athletes of various ages and ability levels. Provide hands-on support, spotting, and skill development under the guidance of the lead coach. Encourage athletes through constructive feedback and positive reinforcement. Help maintain a safe training environment by ensuring proper equipment setup, athlete supervision, and adherence to safety protocols. Promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among athletes. Model professionalism, enthusiasm, and respect both in and out of the gym.

Qualifications & Skills:

Enhanced DBS (linked to the update service), or willing to acquire one. Previous experience in gymnastics (as an athlete or coach) preferred, however in-house training can be provided. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families. Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff and follow direction. Commitment to athlete safety and well-being. Passion for gymnastics and youth development.

Hours

:

Tuesday's 16:30-18:30 Wednesday's 16:30-18:30
Start Date: January 2026, with prior training on occasional dates within November & December.

This is a self employed role, with sessions taking place within term-time only.
