Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our vibrant team. We run in Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud afterschool 3.15-4.15pm and are term time only. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing participants of various ages and skill levels, fostering a safe and encouraging environment to develop gymnastics skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire confidence, promote physical activity, and help athletes achieve their personal best.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics training sessions tailored to different age groups and abilities Demonstrate proper techniques for vaulting, tumbling, balance beam, bars, and floor routines Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to support skill development Ensure all training activities adhere to safety standards and organisational policies Maintain equipment and ensure the training area is clean, organised, and safe at all times Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes among participants Assist in organising competitions, exhibitions, or showcases as required Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievements

Requirements

Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably within gymnastics or similar disciplines Strong understanding of gymnastics techniques and safety protocols Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners of all ages Organised with the ability to plan effective training sessions and manage multiple groups simultaneously Passionate about promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential; willingness to undertake training is expected Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 15.00-35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 6 per week
