Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing participants of various ages and skill levels in gymnastics, fostering a safe and encouraging environment to help individuals achieve their personal goals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop coaching skills within a supportive community setting.

Work locations

We have openings at Soar Valley Leisure Centre, Mountsorrel, LE12 7FG, Cedars Academy in Birstall, LE4 4JE and Ashby Leisure Centre and Lido, LE65 1HU. Various hours and days throughout the week and on Saturdays.

Duties

Design and deliver engaging gymnastics training programmes tailored to different age groups and abilities Demonstrate proper techniques for tumbling, balance, strength, and flexibility exercises Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with safety standards and organisational policies Maintain equipment and facilities to a high standard of safety and cleanliness Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, confidence, and enjoyment Assist in organising competitions, exhibitions, or showcases as required Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments for each participant

Experience

Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably within gymnastics or similar disciplines Strong understanding of gymnastics techniques and safety protocols Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire participants of all ages Previous experience working with children or young adults is desirable but not essential Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory; training opportunities will be provided for the right candidate

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 14 per week
