Jurassic Gymnastics is an all inclusive recreational club offering coaching by professional and experienced coaches & a pathway from recreational to competitive trampoline gymnastics for the youth of Weymouth & surrounding areas.

Based in Weymouth in our own facility we are both GymMark & ClubMark Certificated and fully affiliated to British Gymnastics, guaranteeing a safe, effective & child friendly environment for all our members and coaches.

We are committed to developing our club to offer as many opportunities to the local community as possible. As we grow our club & client base, we are looking to grow our team to accommodate interest.

Job description

Based at our facility on the Link Park Industrial Estate in Weymouth, you will work closely with the head coach to lead & deliver a programme of recreational Gymnastics sessions to school age children through to adults following a set developmental lesson plan structure.

You are able to work independently with small groups of gymnasts as well as being a team player. Are able to mentor other coaches & oversee classes as a whole assisting support coaches in their delivery alongside your own. You are organised, coachable, approachable, enthusiastic & reliable & have the passion to deliver quality, safe, fun sessions to every individual.

You enjoy working with children, putting the gymnast first, encouraging development & maintaining high standards & are a good role model for all. You will be required to lesson plan, communicate well, monitor development, maintain excellent hygiene & cleaning of your working area & uphold the clubs code of conduct & ethics at all times.

You will have a minimum Level 1 coaching qualification in Gymnastics or be willing to work towards this. You will be required to obtain through us both DBS & Safeguarding certificates & a current first aid certification is desirable.

This role includes regular term time daytime, evening & weekend hours as well as some daytime school holiday hours. Further details of hours available will be discussed at interview.
