Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate HAIRSTYLIST to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in hairstyling and have a strong understanding of customer service and retail. As a hairstylist, you will be responsible for following a brief from our clients, ensuring they feel confident and satisfied with their appearance. This role requires excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This is a job for a hairstylist - no experience in cutting or colouring needed.

Responsibilities

Provide professional hairstyling for clients, tailored to their individual needs and preferences. Blowdrys, up-dos, curls and waves for bridal and events. Consult with clients to understand their desired look and offer expert advice on hairstyles and products. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and products are clean and well-maintained. Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products to provide clients with current options. Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every client. Assist in promoting hair, makeup and beauty services and products to increase client engagement and satisfaction. Strong social media skills on Tiktok and Instagram - know how to create engaging content and reels Collaborate with other team members to create a harmonious working environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a hairstylist / hairdresser or Makeup Artist or in a similar role is preferred. Strong skills in hairstyling techniques for various occasions (e.g., weddings, photoshoots, events). Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A solid understanding of customer service principles and practices. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. A passion for beauty and cosmetics, with an eagerness to learn new techniques and trends. Certification or relevant training in hairstyling or makeup artistry is an advantage but not essential. Experience within retail and more specifically beauty retail is an advantage but not essential.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: From 12.88 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
