Our Meallmore team at Kelvinside Manor are ready to warmly welcome you as a Hairdresser within their care home.In Glasgow's prestigious West End, Kelvinside Manor provides luxurious accommodations with exceptional care tailored to each resident. We cater to three main client groups: frail elderly, dementia and acquired brain injury and we promote key values of safety and wellbeing within the home.

Your role as a Hairdresser will include:

Provide high-quality hairdressing services to our residents, including haircuts, styling, perms, colouring, and other salon treatments. Create a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring our residents feel comfortable and relaxed during their appointments. Maintain a clean and organised salon area, following sanitation and hygiene protocols to ensure the safety of our residents. Establish strong relationships with residents, engaging in friendly conversations, and attending to their individual needs. Collaborate with our care team to understand any specific care requirements or limitations for residents when providing hairdressing services.

What about you?

Proven experience in providing hairdressing services. SVQ/NVQ in hairdressing desirable but not essential Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanour, able to build rapport and communicate effectively with our residents. Ability to work independently and as part of a caring team to enhance our residents' overall experience. Sensitivity and understanding of the unique needs and preferences of individuals.

Salary: 12.36 per hour + overtime rates + benefits


Hours: 21 hours per week (0900-1630 hrs, 3 days per week)
