25 hours per week - 2.5 hrs per morning and 2.5 hours per afternoon

Salary:

12.21 per hour.

Job Summary/Main purpose of the job:



To drive the centres minibus and to pick members up from their homes and bring them to the centre in the morning and then to pick them up from the centre on the afternoon and bring them home

You must possess a D1 driving license

The post holder will work as part of a team maintaining a close relationship with staff, members, carers, colleagues and professional agencies in partnership with the member taking account of confidentiality, including data protection.

The post holder will be based at Hamara, providing the service within Hamara, and members own homes, and assisting the member to access the community.

The post holder will be responsible for the daily maintenance and health and safety checks of the mini bus and review risk assessments on a regular basis

Responsibilities/Main Duties



To drive the centres minibus, to pick members up from their homes and bring them to the centre in the morning and then to pick them up from the centre on the afternoon and bring them home

To carry out a full inspection of the minibus before and after using the vehicle and to adhere to strict health and safety policies and procedure

To report any issues or concerns to the line manager

To promote wellbeing and safeguard adults from abuse and ensure all safeguarding concerns are reported to line management.

To support and enable members to be independent whilst promoting dignity and choice.

To deliver related support, social and personal care utilising a person-centred and member led approach to enable members to maximise their independence.

To take an active role and involve members in the ongoing service development of Learning Disability, Autism and Mental Health Services and facilitate advocacy

To support individuals to access education, employment and health care.

To demonstrate an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the needs and wishes of members as appropriate.

To demonstrate an awareness of the needs associated with vulnerable adults and different models which assist the fulfilment of their need.

To respect each member's right to exercise choice and take control over their own lives.

Ability to understand and observe the Hamara Equal Opportunities Policy.

Willingness to actively participate in training and development activities to ensure up to date knowledge and skills.
