Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance skills and be comfortable performing various tasks to ensure the upkeep and repair of residential and commercial properties. This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Conduct general maintenance and repairs on buildings, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks. Perform routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify issues that require attention. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Assist with installations of fixtures, appliances, and other equipment as needed. Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used for each job. Collaborate with other tradespeople when necessary to complete larger projects efficiently.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general maintenance practices. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with clients or tenants. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively. A valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between job sites. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks as required.
