Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance skills and be able to perform various repair and improvement tasks in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks. Respond promptly to service requests and complete work orders efficiently. Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify issues. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and standards. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service. Assist in the installation of fixtures, fittings, and appliances as required. Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of various repair techniques and maintenance practices. Ability to read technical manuals and follow instructions accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach. Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy items when necessary. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between job sites. Certification in relevant trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical) is a plus but not essential.
