Handyman / Property Maintenance Operative

Location: UK Nationwide (regional deployment)
Pay: 12.75 per hour + performance bonuses
Contract: Full-time | PAYE | Guaranteed hours

MR FXA - Home & Property Services is a national property maintenance company delivering handyman, emergency, garden, waste, and property services across the UK.

We work with homeowners, landlords, letting agents and insurers, providing fixed pricing, same-day services and emergency response nationwide.

As we continue to expand, we are recruiting reliable, hands-on operatives who want stable PAYE work, guaranteed hours, and long-term progression.

The Role

Your primary role will be carrying out handyman and property maintenance work, including:

General repairs and maintenance Basic plumbing (taps, leaks, like-for-like replacements) Basic electrical work (light fittings, sockets - non-certified) Furniture assembly and installations Door, lock and window repairs Garden maintenance and clearance Waste and bulky item removals Emergency make-safe jobs (boarding up, securing properties)
Jobs are pre-priced and scheduled.
No on-site quoting required.
Company vehicle provided after probation.
Work allocated regionally with occasional travel as required.

Guaranteed Hours and Flexible Duties

To ensure guaranteed full-time hours, during quieter periods you may be asked to support light facilities or manufacturing-based work, such as:

Basic assembly or packing Warehouse or yard organisation Cleaning and site upkeep General facilities support
This work is:

Paid at the same hourly rate Daytime only Fully trained with PPE provided
This structure allows us to offer consistent PAYE employment year-round.

Pay and Bonus Structure

12.75 per hour base rate Weekly performance bonuses
Typical earnings with bonuses are 14.00 to 17.00+ per hour.

Bonuses are paid for:

Productivity and efficiency Quality of work (no callbacks or complaints) Same-day and emergency jobs Reliability and attendance
Pay Progression

12.75 per hour - Starter / probation 14.00-15.50 per hour - Competent operative 17.00+ per hour - Senior / lead operative
Pay is reviewed after probation and based on performance.

Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence Clean driving record (for company vehicle use) Comfortable working in customers' homes and occupied properties Willing to undergo a DBS (criminal record) check Reliable, punctual and professional Willingness to travel regionally when required
Employment is subject to satisfactory DBS and reference checks.
