Job Title: Handy Person

Job Type: Part-Time 10 Hours Min

Reports to: Venue Manager

Overview:

Bonnie Rogues is seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Person to support the upkeep and general maintenance of our venue. This position is vital to maintaining a safe, functional, and well-presented environment for our customers and team. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out a broad range of repair and maintenance tasks, both proactively and in response to reported issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repair work across the premises. Address plumbing issues including leaks, blockages, and fixture replacements. Complete basic electrical tasks such as replacing lights, switches, and sockets. Carry out carpentry repairs including furniture, doors, and windows. Paint internal and external surfaces to maintain venue presentation. Assemble venue furniture and equipment as required. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Keep tools and equipment in safe and working condition. Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a maintenance or similar role is preferred. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and general repairs. Ability to understand technical manuals and diagrams. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Physically able to carry out manual tasks. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential. Certification in any relevant trades is advantageous but not required.

Additional Hours:

Where extra hours are desired, additional work may be available within other departments of the business. Please note, these hours will be offered at a different rate of pay, depending on the duties involved.
