We are seeking someone to join our workforce team. The candidate will be required to hard-face the two site shredders on a weekly basis or as needed. You will also be assisting with engineering repairs and regular maintenance to the static and mobile plant.
You will be tasked with creating your own engineering workspace and systems to help enhance the sites effectiveness and safety.
Working with an experienced site manager to maintain a regulated servicing, defect and maintenance system for the mobile and static plant.
Duties
.
Hardfacing of two site shredders as required using site welding equipment
Periodic inspections of static plant and conveyors for defects and maintenance requirements
Undertaking inspections and maintenance of site conveyors, gearboxes and motors.
Maintain servicing schedules for Mobile Plant
Keep existing defect and rectification system up to date
Organise tools, workspace and spares effectively to ensure efficient site production and reduce downtime.
Monitor and record stock levels of consumables and spares.
General engineering works as necessary.
Skills
Hardfacing experience
Welding ability
General mechanical and/or electrical knowledge or experience
Able to maintain written or computerised reports, defect checks and remedial action reports

Pay: 18.00-22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
