The Hardware team is responsible for managing all aspects of hardware services and support across the business. This includes the procurement of hardware and maintenance contracts, as well as the distribution of IT equipment to employees and partners. The team oversees the full hardware lifecycle, from sourcing and logistics to returns, storage, and the secure disposal of end-of-life equipment in line with regulations. In addition, the team ensures all hardware requirements from customers are met efficiently, while maintaining accurate records and a clear audit trail of all hardware assets across the organisation.


As a Hardware Asset Administrator you will provide essential administrative support within the Hardware Asset Team, delivering the full end-to-end lifecycle of SJP's computing assets across all locations. While the primary focus is on hardware, you will also provide cover for mobile assets when required. Day-to-day responsibilities include receiving and validating hardware requests via tickets, phone, email, and ServiceNow, before coordinating the necessary actions to fulfil them.


What you'll be doing:



Being the first contact point for all aspects of hardware asset management and effectively communicating with dissatisfied customers Administering the delivery of SJP users computing and printing assets to include, hardware lifecycle within the SJP Cirencester campus and providing a high-quality service Reporting on stock levels across the SJP estate to ensure in time delivery to users Liaising with third-party suppliers to agreed delivery targets Ensuring the hardware asset resources are appropriately cross charged to cost centers and projects. Responsible for Hardware asset registers across all SJP locations.

Who we're looking for:




We're looking for a professional who is passionate about technology and can basic technical troubleshoot, support users both remotely and face-to-face, and ensure all support activities are accurately recorded and tickets are closed once resolved. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery, maintenance, and overall lifecycle management of hardware assets across the business

Essential Criteria



Excellent skills in customer communication and able to deal with a variety of situations. Understanding techniques for identifying, gathering and validating customer requirements in the delivery of Hardware Asset and printing services Enthusiastic about technology and able to keep up with technology's latest trends. Good IT literacy of the Office 365 Suite and proficient in managing email and MS Word communications. Ability to support IT hardware and troubleshooting as necessary.

Desirable Criteria



Knowledge of ServiceNow or automated systems to the support of specific business functions and processes Some experience of managing IT procurement and suppliers, adhering to agreed contract requirements. Relevant IT Qualifications
