Job Title: HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver

Job Summary:


We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our logistics team in Harlow. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard and between local depots, ensuring timely loading and unloading operations.



Key Responsibilities:


Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles to shunt trailers within the yard or between nearby sites. Perform pre-use vehicle checks and report any defects. Liaise with warehouse and transport teams to coordinate trailer movements. Ensure trailers are correctly positioned at loading bays. Maintain accurate records of trailer movements and any incidents. Adhere to all health & safety and site-specific procedures.
Requirements:


Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence. Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving or shunting experience (preferred). Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, or rotating shifts if required.
