About the Role:
We're looking for a Hatchery Operative to join our team
What's in it for you?

12.75 per hour (paid weekly) + 4.71 SP when working Saturdays ( going up to 13.75 after training )
Training and development from day one

Nights - 4 on / 4off
6PM start -6AM finish
On call available if the candidate is successful. 25.00/ day the standby + 25.00 each call + OT150 for the time spent at the hatchery
About the role
As a Hatchery Operative, working as a part of the Hatchery Team, you'll help assist the hatchery and play a key role in the daily duties which are fundamental to our entire business.
Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring chicks are sorted into the required grades and quantities, ready for farm delivery
Assisting in the effective movement of eggs from storage to incubating machines and then to hatching machines
Cleaning all equipment after use to the required high standards
Safeguarding bio security and following these strict procedures
Observing bird welfare and health and safety on site at all times

What are we looking for?

A good level of English and basic numeracy skills
Good teamwork and communication skills
Attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
Relevant experience is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided

Due to Bird Welfare, it is essential that you do not own any Avian Pets or Poultry.
