Job Summary
We are seeking a Team Leader to assist the hatchery manager in the day-to-day running of the hatchery facility and to ensure the welfare of day old chicks whilst maintain the high standards of quality, hygiene, animal welfare and health and safety that are required.
Key Responsibilities
Gain a full understanding of poultry at Annyalla Chicks
Assisting with daily production needs, in particular chick production
Staff management and training
Hygiene monitoring
Hatchery planning
Managing stores and supplies
Undertake various tasks within the hatchery; chick take off and chick grading
General cleaning and tidiness of all areas inside and outside the hatchery to ensure our high standards of biosecurity are adhered to at all times
Adhere to all codes of practice and bird welfare
Adhere to health and safety standards at all times
Undertake any other duties within the hatchery operation as and when required
Skills and Experience
Previous hatchery experience, or factory/production experience
Technical knowledge, computer skills and basic mathematics are an advantage
Flexible and hard working
Enthusiastic and a positive attitude to teamwork
Ability to work shifts (start times can range between 3am to 5am)
Own transportation required due to location

Base Pay: 12.71 per hour
Team Leader Bonus: Additional 1 per hour
Discretionary Hourly Attendance Bonus
