Haulier Coordinator: Secondment - 5-6 Months

This position is open to internal applicants only.
An exciting opening has arisen for someone to join the Transport Planning department on a secondment basis until the end of the year. Working with our Haulier Team Leader Emily, you will be supporting the Haulier Management function, and will become a point of contact to our suppliers. This would be a great opportunity for someone who would like to enhance their knowledge of the logistics function and the wider business.
The Transport Planning department is a fast-paced department, where no two days are the same. You will be coordinating all activities within the Haulier Management Team, working closely with your Transport Planning colleagues, Sales, External Hauliers, Site Logistics Teams, Marshalls Finance (Credit Controllers) & Customer services. Full system and logistics training will be provided, and you will be given the support and autonomy to make your own decisions from an early stage.
Key Skills and Experience
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint software packages.
- Working knowledge of the AX system.
- Working knowledge of the Front email system.
- Good organisational skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build relationships quickly.
- Good understanding of the general and construction haulage market.
- Good understanding of UK geography.
- Previous transport planning experience.
Closing date: 30th June. Interviews will take place w/c the 3rd of July.
Please note: This is a Landscape House based role. Some flexibility will be provided to work from home if desired.
