This is a role open to experienced, qualified and fully accredited (HCPC registered) Psychologist- Educational or Clinical.
As part of your role you will be using a range of psychological interventions and interpersonal skills to:
support individuals with mild and moderate mental health problems,
support individuals experiencing learning difficulties, learning disabilities and neurodiversity.
support individuals who lack motivation, confidence, have low self-esteem and need guidance and support to move forward on their life journey.
support care-home residents and their families
support more junior team members
You will:
undertake client-centred interviews
conduct various assessments such as ADHD or dyslexia screening
identify areas where the person wishes to change how they feel, think or behave
provide a range of evidence-based psychological interventions including guided self-help based on cognitive behavioural therapy, online psychological treatment programmes and psycho-educational groups and workshops, employment and interest assessments, motivational guidance and support
liaise with other agencies and provide information about services such as employment and housing to clients
You will offer face to face interventions but will also be able to work from home and offer online support to clients from different backgrounds, often unemployed with multiple needs and barriers to progression.
Essential Criteria:
Demonstrates competence/knowledge of working with a range of psychological difficulties treated in a mild and moderate mental health setting
HCPC registration as Clinical Psychologist
Demonstrates knowledge of a range of relevant psychological interventions.
Clear and pleasant demeanour and communicator.
PhD level qualifications in the relevant field
Registered with the British Psychological Society
Understands primary and secondary care mental health services
Driving license and willingness to travel
Willing to invest time to grow with the company
Desired Criteria:
Experience in the field of occupational and educational psychology
Experience of working with the Department for Work and Pensions and/or the Ministry of Justice and NHS IAPT (Talking Therapies) services
Experience of conducting dyslexia assessments
