About Role:



Askham Bryan College is offering an exciting opportunity for a Higher Education Course Manager in Animal Sciences and Conservation Ecology to join our Land-based Higher Education Department. This role is based at our York campus and plays a key part in delivering high-quality education to our students.

We are seeking a dedicated individual with strong experience in conservation, wildlife, or environmental management, and a minimum of a BSc in a relevant field. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging teaching and supportive course management across our animal science and conservation ecology programmes.

Key Responsibilities:



Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment to Higher Education students Manage and develop curriculum content in collaboration with the Curriculum Team Leader Support students through their academic journey, ensuring a positive learning experience Contribute to the strategic development of the department and its provision

What We're Looking For:



Educated to degree level or above in a relevant subject A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one Strong knowledge of animal sciences, land management, conservation, and ecology Experience in Higher Education, ideally within a college-based setting Sector experience in conservation, wildlife, or ecology is highly desirable

Start Date:

The College operates 2 starter/induction days per month to welcome and onboard new members. These are usually the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month (unless there is a bank holiday).
