Over the past five years, Guild of Dough has grown from a tiny bread delivery operation run out of one of the founders' parents' kitchens into a full-scale retail and production bakery on Ashley Down Road. Today, we supply high-profile wholesale customers across Bristol, including Ragu, Lapin, and Littlefrench. We're now looking for a new
Head Baker
to help us continue our journey.
Our new Head Baker should bring the knowledge and experience we didn't have when we started out. They should have worked in a leadership role as a baker for at least 2-3 years and understand that success comes from working quickly, cleanly, and efficiently. They will take charge of our experienced team of four bakers, leading them day-to-day, teaching new skills, and supporting their professional development.
At Guild of Dough, our bread is what sets us apart. We believe our sourdough and baguettes are the best in Bristol--and our customers agree. Everything is slow-proved overnight and shaped by hand. The right candidate will share our passion for getting the product right and upholding the standards we've built our reputation on.
The details:
Hours: 3am-12pm, 4-5 days per week (only one day each weekend)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Salary: 30,000-35,000 depending on experience
