Head Baker
to take full ownership of the kitchen and lead the morning operation.
This is a hands-on, full-time role perfect for someone with strong baking and pastry skills who also enjoys crafting fresh, wholesome breakfasts. You'll be responsible not only for producing a wide range of seasonal baked goods, but also for overseeing the kitchen's daily operations and helping to shape the future of a growing food-led venue.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including staff management, stock control, and prep schedules
Bake fresh, seasonal pastries, cakes, breads, and sweet treats daily, using high-quality local ingredients
Prepare and serve breakfast and brunch dishes with consistency and creativity
Develop and update a rotating bakery and breakfast menu in collaboration with ownership
Ensure all recipes and specifications are followed and documented for consistency
Uphold the highest standards in food hygiene, safety, and allergen management
Manage supplier relationships and source produce from local farmers and makers
Mentor junior team members and help build a collaborative kitchen culture
Take ownership of kitchen development and long-term improvements in systems and efficiency

Ideal Candidate
Proven experience as a Head Baker, Senior Baker, or Head Chef in a quality-driven kitchen
Strong background in traditional and creative baking and pastry techniques
Confident preparing fresh, seasonal breakfast dishes
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Experienced in managing kitchen paperwork, compliance, and food safety (certification required)
Creative and enthusiastic, with a desire to contribute ideas and evolve the offering
Passionate about working with seasonal produce and supporting local suppliers
Comfortable working independently in the early mornings

Work Schedule
Morning shifts, Tuesday-Sunday (typically 6am-12pm, with some flexibility)
Full-time hours (approx. 35-40 hours per week)
