Ground has made a name for itself as a bakery synonymous with quality and now we are looking for a Head Baker to help support our team as we continue to expand.
From our signature sourdough loaves, to our counter full of pastries and busy brunch kitchens, we work hard to ensure that at every stage our produce takes centre stage, with our focus on highlighting the top quality ingredients we've sourced.
Based out of our bespoke unit in Sully, our small team of currently 8 bakers is rapidly expanding as we service our four coffee shop locations and a growing list of wholesale customers. Our talented team is currently producing over 7500 units per week across our bread & viennoiserie lines.
We are on the lookout for a like minded individual that shares our passion in baking and who wants to celebrate artisan production methods through creative and delicious produce. As Head Baker you will:
Have a minimum of 5years experience in the production of both bread & viennoiserie lines
Be detail orientated, with a focus on quality
Have a minimum of 2years experience in leading a team, providing staff training and developing lines for production
Be highly organised with great communication and time management skills
Be a team player & show a willingness to adapt and work collaboratively towards our shared goals
Support our Exec Baker in the running of the bakery, maintaining a consistently high standard of production
Assist the Exec Baker with ordering stock & completing stock takes
Take a leading role in the training & mentoring of junior members of the team, passing on your knowledge and expertise and ensuring all staff are comfortable working to company specs.
Assist the Exec Baker with product development, creating new lines to inspire both our bakery team and our customers.
Manage the bakery team ensuring work remains efficient and staff are happy
Take responsibility for the managing of the bakery in the absence of the Exec Baker, including wholesale customer relations & orders
Communicate & feedback with senior members of the management team if there are ways we can improve produce or procedures

Pay: Up to 40,000.00 per year
