Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Italian patisserie/bakery preparation. Maintaining a consistent high standard of food production and hygiene. The ideal candidate will ensure all baked goods meet our high standards of quality and presentation. As a Baker, you will play a vital role in creating delicious Italian products that reflect authentic Italian heritage.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during food production. Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service. Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the menu offerings. Assist in training junior kitchen staff on baking techniques and food safety practices.

Experience

Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the culinary field, preferably in a restaurant or bakery setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Familiarity with various baking techniques and equipment used in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and baking, with a creative flair for recipe development. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when required.
