Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Barista to lead our cafe team in delivering exceptional coffee and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive barista experience, and a deep understanding of food safety and food handling protocols. As the Head Barista, you will oversee daily operations, ensure quality standards are met, and foster a welcoming environment for both customers and staff.

Position Working Hours

6:30-11:30 5 days a week

Duties

Lead and train baristas in coffee preparation, food service, and customer interactions to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency Manage daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures Oversee POS transactions using Aloha POS and Micros POS systems, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering processes Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with health regulations Prepare beverages, food items, and snacks with precision and consistency Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock rotation Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and creating a positive cafe atmosphere Assist in sales efforts by promoting menu items and upselling when appropriate Support team members in food preparation and serving tasks as needed Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and safety protocols

Experience

Proven experience as a Barista with strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele Excellent time management skills to handle fast-paced shifts efficiently Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, serving techniques, and proper food handling procedures Experience in the food industry or retail environment is advantageous

Pay: 12.21-14.39 per hour
