Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your enthusiasm for coffee and commitment to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere will enhance our customers' experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist in food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, ensuring quality and presentation. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure timely service. Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic maths skills for accurate billing. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Uphold health and safety regulations within the cafe environment. Be confident in lone working and team working environments

Requirements

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure the highest hygiene standards are met. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. A genuine passion for coffee and customer service. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required. Must be available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and friday From 7:30-5pm.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 7.55-13.00 per hour
