We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen operations, and staff management, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Oversee meal planning, preparation, and presentation in accordance with established recipes and standards
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
Organise staff schedules, training sessions, and performance evaluations
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock control to minimise waste
Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during service hours, maintaining a clean and organised workspace
Assist in developing new menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
Uphold high standards of customer service, supporting serving staff as needed
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing a team of kitchen staff
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Good understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary arts
Previous experience in restaurant operations or catering is highly desirable
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards team collaboration
