Job Description

At Department of Coffee and Social Affairs we want to create a coffee shop that is a meeting point for friends, family and colleagues to gather, to converse and to socialise - and enjoy great coffee.

We are currently looking for an Head Barista/ Supervisor for one of our high profile, and high volume, internal stores, based in Spitalfields. You will have a deep passion and understanding for coffee and customer service. As the Head Barista you will work closely with the Ops team to nurture and grow the shop, and there's plenty of room to let your personality shine through. We are looking for a passionate go-getter, who demonstrates love and knowledge for great coffee and engaging customer service. THE ROLE



Pathway leading to GM position in the future A brief understanding of operational KPI's including sales, waste and labour Open and close the site using the checklists Manage stock, ordering and deliveries Manage rota and approve timesheets Cleaning and topping up of bean to cup machines within the office Top up of snack vending machine To always maintain a safe workplace and adhere to health and safety legislation To bring fun to the workplace and ensure a happy, motivated, focused team Be enthusiastic and motivate/ engage your team when under pressure Quality assess and coach your team on quality of coffee, food and service Be a people person with impeccable customer service skills Hands on - willingness to chip in as and when necessary Be a Service Champion
