Job Description

We're looking for a Head Bartender to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the bar, manage bar shifts, and lead the bar team to ensure a consistently high standard of service. You will be responsible for maintaining the flow of service, maximizing guest satisfaction, and driving revenue through effective bar management and upselling.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage bar shifts, ensuring smooth operations from opening to closing.

- Lead and motivate the bar team, ensuring they adhere to Red Door's service standards.

- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and training to ensure continuous improvement.

- Ensure the bar is fully stocked and prepared for service, including conducting regular inventory checks and placing orders as necessary.

- Handle the opening and closing procedures, including cashing up and securing the premises.

- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient bar environment at all times.

- Collaborate with all staff to ensure seamless service throughout the venue.

- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

- Drive sales by promoting and upselling drinks and special promotions to guests.

Requirements:

- Must be over the age of 18.

- Previous experience in a similar role. (preferred but not essential)

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to run shifts effectively and manage a team.

- Proven ability to handle the pressures of a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.

- Extensive knowledge of cocktails, beverages, and bar service techniques. (essential)

- Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays (essential).

- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

- Confident in upselling products and driving sales to meet revenue targets.

- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
