A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HEAD CHEF AT HOUSE BELFAST
What you'll be doing...
Lead the kitchen team to deliver consistently high-quality dishes that showcase fresh, seasonal, and locally inspired produce.
Shape and evolve our menus, bringing creativity and innovation to keep our offering exciting and relevant to guests.
Manage all aspects of kitchen operations including ordering, stock control, cost management, and compliance with food safety standards.
Develop and mentor your team, fostering a positive and motivated environment where chefs can grow and thrive.
Collaborate with the management team to create memorable dining experiences that reflect the unique House Belfast brand.
Oversee kitchen scheduling and ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to health & safety standards across all areas of the kitchen.
Take ownership of kitchen performance, ensuring profitability while never compromising on quality.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume or boutique hotel/restaurant setting.
Strong culinary background with the ability to create and deliver innovative, guest-focused menus.
Commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximising profitability.
Excellent leadership skills - able to inspire, train, and develop a diverse kitchen team.
Deep understanding of food safety standards, allergen management, and kitchen compliance.
A passion for fresh ingredients, creativity, and providing unforgettable dining experiences.
Resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
