We are looking for a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen. At The Elaichi we pride ourselves on giving the highest quality of food in a timely manner. We are looking for someone who has experience working within a fast paced kitchen environment, being a team leader and working in an Indian/Bangladeshi fusion restaurant.
Requirements:
- You MUST have a Food Hygiene Certificate.
- You MUST have a Food Allergen certificate.
- You MUST have experience working within an Indian/Bangladeshi fusion restaurant.
- You MUST have at least a basic knowledge of Indian cuisine.
- You MUST have experience being a team leader.
- You MUST have experience working with a tandoori oven.
- You MUST be able to work during the evening on both weekends and weekdays.
- You MUST have experience prepping meat and veg.
- You MUST be comfortable working in a hot, greasy environment.
Your role:
- Leading our kitchen team, overseeing prep work, quality of food and hygiene procedures.
- Cooking various dishes to a high standard.
- Mixing spices.
- Prepping both meat and veg before service begins.
- Working with an extensive menu and memorising all recipes.
- Cleaning after services, ensuring all hygiene standards are met.
- Assisting other team members during service.
