Job Description

Birchy Hill Care Home is set in the picturesque village of Sway and provides residential or nursing care for up to 65 older people in five separate units.

To keep our beautiful and friendly home running smoothly, we are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join us full time, we are flexible about which days you work. We need caring and compassionate, hardworking team players to help us provide the type of home environment you'd want your own relatives to have.

You will already hold a minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and understand the importance of nutritious, varied and well-balanced meals, for our residents' physical and mental well-being.

You will be reliable with good communication and time management skills, to help our home run smoothly. You will assist in ensuring a quality food service is provided by managing kitchen stocks and maintaining a clean and safe work environment to comply with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults and successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure at their own cost.

Applicants should already be based in the UK.
