Duties
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Supervise daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, promoting skill development and teamwork.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
Handle any issues that may arise during service, ensuring timely resolutions to maintain service quality.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
