We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety standards, and maintaining a positive team environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff management, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality.
Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen assistants, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Develop innovative menus in line with current trends and customer preferences
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise operational efficiency
Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor cooking processes, assist with food preparation when necessary, and serve as a role model for culinary excellence
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of food production processes and menu development
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Strong understanding of health regulations related to food safety and hygiene practices
Previous experience in serving customers or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
A passion for culinary innovation and delivering outstanding guest experiences

Pay: 13.00-17.09 per hour
