Head Chef
to lead our kitchen team and help us deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will bring strong culinary expertise, creativity, and proven leadership skills, along with a deep commitment to quality, consistency, and food safety.
Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and motivate the kitchen team, providing ongoing training and development.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking to ensure exceptional quality and consistency.
Design and develop innovative menus that reflect Sri Lankan flavours and modern seafood cuisine, aligned with current culinary trends and customer preferences.
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation in compliance with all health regulations.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor food costs to maximise efficiency and profitability.
Collaborate closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and outstanding guest satisfaction.
Conduct regular kitchen inspections to uphold cleanliness, organisation, and operational excellence.
Lead by example, fostering a positive, respectful, and motivated team environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen management role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
In-depth knowledge of food production techniques, seafood preparation, and contemporary culinary practices.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and mentor staff.
Excellent cooking skills and a passion for authentic, beautifully presented dishes.
Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
A creative and innovative mindset with a passion for developing unique menu offerings.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across kitchen and front-of-house teams.
